GMUL announces details for the 38th Annual Black and White Ball

(September 20, 2023 ● Milwaukee, WI) Greater Milwaukee Urban League (GMUL) announced today that GE HealthCare is the presenting sponsor of the 38th annual Black and White Ball on November 4, 2023. The Ball will be held at the Baird Center – formerly the Wisconsin Center – at 400 W. Wisconsin Center, Milwaukee WI 53203.

The theme of the 38th annual Black and White Ball is Strong Partners. Strong Communities. During the event, GMUL will highlight successful programs made possible by the support of GMUL’s many partners. Event co-chairs are Margaret Bailey-Stewart, director, government and community strategy, Charter Communications (Spectrum), and Jim Strack, vice president and general manager of Enterprise Holdings-Wisconsin.


The entertainment for the evening is the Grammy-nominated jazz and R&B recording artist Patrice Rushen. In a career that spans five decades, Rushen’s music is being exposed to a new generation as artists such as Will Smith, Kirk Franklin, and George Michaels sample some of her songs and incorporate them into their work.
