Homeownership Advocacy
Partnering with US Bank, Acts Housing, Safe & Sound, Riverworks, and Evolve Church, Greater Milwaukee Urban League is helping more African Americans begin their journey to homeownership with the US Bank Access Home program.
More than 500 people attended a Fall Financial Fair in November 2022 and 197 people signed up to begin their homeownership Journey.
GMUL is also working with residents and partners in the Metcalfe Park neighborhood to help 30 long-term renters now purchase their homes.
GMUL is a proud partner of the Anti-Displacement Fund, which is assisting families living in the Halyard Park, Harambee, and Amani neighborhoods – which have experienced significant property tax increases – pay their property taxes.
