Health Advocacy
FROM COVID-19 to raising the profile of illnesses that especially impact African Americans, GMUL's health equity efforts are making a difference.
The National Urban League spotlights the COIVD 19 education and vaccination outreach of the Greater Milwaukee Urban League. Our Health Equity Advocacy Work with residents and community partners sharing their vaccination voices empowers communities and changes lives. GMUL gave away 5,000 COVID 19 safety items at community events and to our partner schools
A blood drive with Versiti and the GMUL Guild raised awareness and encouraged African Americans to donate blood during Sickle Cell Awareness Month in September.
