VOTER EDUCATION AND OUTREACH
As a part of the National Urban League’s (NUL) ongoing campaign for Civic Engagement and Voter Outreach, Milwaukee was identified as one of the 13 key cities where Get Out the Vote efforts were critical in the 2020 election as well as future elections. Working with various partners, Milwaukee Urban League reached across Milwaukee to register voters, provide information on where to vote, and explain voting options during a pandemic. The effort reached more than 6,000 individuals.
MUL also participated with the Urban League affiliates in Madison and Racine/Kenosha in a special “Vote for Me” video series, featuring young people who are not old enough to vote, but who wanted to encourage the adults in their lives to do so.
