Driver’s License Permit Class for FSET Participants
Join the Greater Milwaukee Urban League’s Driver’s License Permit Class—designed for adults in the Wisconsin FSET program. Earning your learner’s permit is the first step toward driving on your own. Since almost 40 percent of the region’s jobs are located outside Milwaukee and are difficult to access by public transit, obtaining a permit can make it easier to get to work and other important places.
Program Highlights
-
Who Can Join: Adults (18 years and older) enrolled in the Wisconsin FSET program who do not currently have a permit.
-
Expert Instruction: Former Wisconsin Department of Transportation professional delivers up-to-date guidance on state traffic laws and permit test requirements
-
Behind‑the‑Wheel Training: Qualifying participants may receive hands-on driving instruction under the supervision of a certified instructor.
By tailoring this class to FSET participants, we help you develop the mobility and confidence necessary to connect with career opportunities throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
