Driver's Permit Class Information

Thank you for your interest in our driver’s education program. Our adult program consists of permit classes to prepare participants 18 years old and older to take and pass the permit test.  There is no charge for the permit classes. 
Once you have completed the class and obtained your permit, you may qualify for reimbursement of the $35 permit fee and for the behind-the-wheel lessons if you are receiving FoodShare and enrolled in the FoodShare and Employment Training (FSET) Program through Maximus. Enrollment is verified by receipt of a referral form from Maximus.

To be eligible for the permit class, you must not have any unpaid citations or fines or anything on your DMV record that prevents you from being eligible for a driver's permit. 
Also, you cannot already have a permit. If your permit is expired and can be renewed, you are not eligible for the program. To check your eligibility, copy and paste the following link into your browser:
