The Education and Training department implements two annual student recognition programs: "Doing The Right Thing" and "National Achievers Society" (NAS).
Students nominated by an adult in one of the following categories: 1. Academic, 2. Athletic 3. Social/Leadership 4. Extracurricular and/or Volunteerism, become eligible for "Doing The Right Thing" recognition.
The National Achievers Society (NAS) seeks to encourage, recognize, and reinforce achievement among African-American youth, as well as other youth of color. Based on academic performance, and nominated by an adult, students are eligible for induction into the NAS as either a "Believer" (2.5 GPA or higher), or an "Achiever" (3.0 GPA or higher).
