The Education and Training department implements two annual student recognition programs: "Doing The Right Thing" and "National Achievers Society" (NAS).
Through the CAA, the League is encouraging elementary, middle and high school students to "Do The Right Thing", stay in school and set their sights on college or post-secondary training. Students nominated by an adult in one of the following categories: Academics, Athletics, Social Leadership and Extracurricular Activity and/or Volunteerism, become eligible for "Doing The Right Thing" recognition.
The National Achievers Society (NAS) seeks to encourage, recognize, and reinforce the achievement of our African-American youth, and other exceptional youth, based on their academic achievements. Students nominated by an adult are eligible for induction into the NAS as either a "Believer" (2.5 GPA or higher), or an "Achiever" (3.0 GPA or higher).
